Overview
DewLogic is designed with privacy as a core principle. We do not operate backend servers. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to DewLogic servers. There are no analytics SDKs, advertising frameworks, user accounts, or third-party tracking tools in this app.
All weather data processing, blending, and scoring happens entirely on your device. DewLogic communicates directly with public weather data providers to fetch forecasts and observations — no data passes through an intermediary server we operate.
Data Controller
MOMUS DEV, LLC
Email: travis@momusdev.com
MOMUS DEV, LLC is the data controller responsible for the processing of your data as described in this policy.
Location Data
DewLogic requests access to your device's location to provide accurate, hyper-local weather data and severe weather alerts for your area.
How location is used
- Your GPS coordinates are sent directly from your device to third-party weather data providers (listed below) to retrieve forecasts, observations, and alerts.
- Saved locations you create are stored locally on your device only.
- Reverse geocoding (converting coordinates to a place name) is performed on-device using the platform's built-in geocoding service.
How location is not used
- Your location is never stored on any server we operate.
- Your location is never shared with advertisers or data brokers.
- We do not build location profiles or track movement history.
Third-Party Weather Services
DewLogic connects directly to the following services to provide weather data. Each service receives your approximate location (latitude and longitude) as part of the data request. All connections use HTTPS.
Government & public services (no API key required)
| Service | Operator |

| National Weather Service (NWS) | US Government |
| MET Norway | Norwegian Meteorological Institute |
| Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) | Government of Canada |
| BrightSky / DWD | German Weather Service |
| Open-Meteo | Open-source weather API |
| NOAA (satellite, precipitation, radar, tides) | US Government |
| IEM / Mesonet | Iowa State University |
| SMHI | Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute |
| FMI | Finnish Meteorological Institute |
| KNMI | Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute |
| Met Office UK | UK Meteorological Office |
| Météo-France | French National Meteorological Service |
| AEMET | Spanish State Meteorological Agency |
| CWOP | Citizen Weather Observer Program |
| OpenSenseMap | Crowdsourced sensor network |
Map & radar services
| Service | Operator |
|---|---|
| OpenStreetMap | OpenStreetMap Foundation (ODbL) |
| RainViewer | RainViewer |
We encourage you to review the privacy policies of each service. DewLogic does not control how these third parties handle the location data they receive.
Personal Weather Stations
If you choose to connect a personal weather station (PWS), DewLogic supports direct integration with Ambient Weather, WeatherFlow Tempest, Ecowitt, Davis Instruments, and Weather Underground.
- API keys you provide for PWS services are stored in your device's encrypted secure storage (Keychain on iOS, Encrypted Shared Preferences on Android).
- API keys are transmitted only to the respective PWS service endpoints over HTTPS.
- PWS API keys are never sent to DewLogic servers or any other party.
AI Insights (Optional)
DewLogic includes an optional AI Insights feature that generates plain-language weather briefings. This feature is disabled by default and requires you to provide your own API key to activate.
- Supported providers: OpenAI, Anthropic (Claude), and Google Gemini.
- When enabled, weather context data (current conditions, forecast, activity scores) is sent to your selected provider to generate insights.
- Your API keys are stored in your device's encrypted secure storage and transmitted only to the provider you select.
- No personal information beyond weather context is sent to AI providers.
- DewLogic does not send data to AI providers unless you explicitly enable this feature and provide a key.
